Beyond Chaos: How to Lead Complex Projects with Confidence
An exclusive masterclass to help project leaders navigate complexity and uncertainty.
Friday 18 July 2025 | 12:30 to 1:00 AEST

Are you responsible for the successful delivery of a significant project?
Do these challenges sound familiar?
Being bombarded with information and unsure what’s noise and what really matters
Pressure to deliver outcomes without a clear roadmap plan to achieve the goals
Stakeholders who are disengaged or disinterested, despite the project’s impact on them
Teams missing deadlines, delaying work or not following through
Uncertainty about your role and whether you’re doing enough
A growing fear that failure is possible and what that might mean for your organisation and reputation
Project complexity is one of the biggest challenges that project sponsors and team leaders face.
Yet, it’s often misunderstood. Many assume that a complex project is simply one that’s large in scale, high in budget, or technologically advanced. While these factors may contribute to complexity, they don’t define it.
Understanding what makes a project complex is essential for managing risks, making informed decisions, and leading teams effectively.
In this masterclass, I’ll share the insights I’ve learned leading transformational projects for 25 years in government, education and utilities.
In just 30 minutes, you’ll gain a clear understanding of what makes projects complex (versus just complicated), why traditional approaches fail, and the three key leadership shifts you must make to navigate uncertainty effectively.
You’ll walk away with practical strategies you can implement immediately to drive better project outcomes.
At the end of the masterclass you’ll understand:
Why bigger budgets and more resources don’t solve complexity.
How to shift your leadership to meet the demands of dynamic, fast-moving projects.
Ways to turn complexity into a strategic advantage rather than a risk.

About JC
Hello. You can call me JC. My first name Jeanette is also my mother’s middle name.
My passion is helping businesses with complex projects linking people, process, and technology. I didn’t start out in projects; I began in the meat and sugar industries before becoming a leader in government. Along the way, my curiosity and drive to learn led me to roles that shaped my skills and sparked my interest in project delivery and transformation.
With over 25 years’ experience across government, higher education, and utilities, I specialise in recovering projects that are off track and lead them to success.
I work with senior leaders and cross-functional project teams navigating complex business transformations. These teams are often under pressure to balance strategic delivery, stakeholder expectations, and day-to-day operations.
I’ve drawn on research, hundreds of interviews and my own project case studies to develop practical tools and frameworks. I’m the author of Real Project Leadership: the proven recipe for project teams to have real impact, and creator of The Project Ecosystem®, my signature planning and delivery framework. It forms the foundation of all my programs and workshops.
My support is grounded in proven methods with deep insight into project dynamics – enabling leaders to move from pressure to progress when it matters most.
Whether through strategic advisory, mentoring, or facilitated workshops, I help leaders take ownership of their role – clarifying direction, aligning teams, and managing change in a way that sticks. I create the space for people to think clearly, work better together, and make confident decisions that lead to real impact.
