Accelerate

A series of practical and interactive workshops over a 3 or 6 month period brought to life using active projects; and supported by group accountability sessions.

The Project Leadership Model was created as part of The Project Ecosystem ®

When a project team collectively demonstrates real project leadership through their behaviours and actions, they have real impact – by having confidence in their project role as a collaborator; building trusted relationships with stakeholders who feel valued; and thriving as an empowered, high-performing team believing anything is possible.

The Accelerate Program is a series of practical and interactive workshops over a 3 or 6 month period brought to life using active projects; and supported by group accountability sessions. This ensures that skills and insights gained can be immediately applied bridging the gap between learning and impact.

Each program cohort is limited to 15 participants from one or more teams.

Executives and senior managers would agree that everyone has a role to play in project leadership, as it aligns with the growing emphasis on collaborative, cross-functional teams and empowering employees to take ownership of their work.

The Real Project Leadership (RPL) six levels serve as an insightful tool for project teams to assess and guide their development in project environments. It emphasises the importance of not just the tasks at hand (activity), but also how individuals approach these tasks (behaviour) and the effectiveness of their contributions (delivery). This holistic view encourages a more comprehensive approach to personal and project team development from the basic level of engagement and understanding to a stage where trust and high performance defines leadership excellence.

Activity Behaviour Delivery
6 Trust Performing 150%
5 Impact Innovating 100%
4 Visible Engaging 80%
3 Instruct Leading 50%
2 Invisible Responding 20%
1 Unaware Questioning 0%

Imagine a championship-winning soccer team. Each player, whether a forward or a goalkeeper, demonstrates leadership in their own position. They all have unique roles, but they share a common goal – winning. Similarly, in an organisation, everyone has unique responsibilities, but the common goal is to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Remember, it’s not just the striker who wins the game, it’s the collective effort, the assist from a midfielder, the save by the goalkeeper, and even the motivational pep talk from the coach. Each of these contributions is a form of leadership.

As we sign up to our project team role, let’s remember to ‘play our positions’ with the same dedication, commitment, and leadership as a championship-winning team.
